Alien: (smiling) "...of high prices! Just take a look at the great savings in our brochure"
Beaver: "But you said 'prepare to die'..."
Alien: "No no! I said 'prepare for great savings'"
Beaver: "Oh."

Steve: "Hey - the coupons in here really do entitle us to some stellar discounts."

Panel 3

Beaver: "Wait a minute... These coupons expired yesterday!"
Steve: (shaking his fist at the sky) "Damn those aliens! This means WAR!"

Alien: (poking his head in from off-screen) "You do know I'm still here right?"
Steve: (still looking in the sky) "DAMN YOU!"

Fun Facts

• The cliffhanger/solution "This is the end.... of high prices!" was actually not a reference to that one episode of The Simpsons, as James actually hadn't seen that episode and came up with the same joke on his own. Some people made that reference in the comments for the previous comic, which then resulted in James posting this in the news bit for this strip:
  
  "Well, it looks like just about everyone guessed what the first line of this strip would be - am I really that predictable?"
  
  And later added in the comments:
  
  "ok - so I just found out that first line's been used in a simpsons episode. Why does no one tell me these things?"
