Panel 1

Steve: (looking into the fridge) "I think the butter's off."
Beaver: "What makes you say that Steve?"

Panel 2

Steve holds the butter that has evolved into a lifeform, on a plate. It makes a "UGGL.." onomatopoeia.

Panel 3

Beaver POKE!'s the butter.
Butter: "Ai! Cut that out!"
Beaver: "Oh, hey, it can talk."

Panel 4

Butter: "Yes, I have learned much since I came to be in the cold belly of the dairy drawer, but I yearn for adventure, I dream of passing beyond the great portal and experiencing all the delights that the world beyond has to offer, I will..."

Panel 5

Steve STAB!'s the butter with a knife.
Butter: "AKKH! I return to you Mother Fridge... ...into... ...the light... *ug*"

Panel 6

Steve SPREAD!'s the butter on a slice of bread.
Beaver: "There's probably a moral to this."

Steve eats the bread with a CHOMF.

Steve spits out the butter with a BLEH!
Spread butter: "Forgive me!"
Beaver: "Maybe the moral is 'Clean out the fridge more often'"

This is the first BnS comic that comes with a moral to the story.

Well, sort of.

Although the previous comic had a FIN, the toast was probably carried over.
