Panel 3
A dolphin surfaces and adresses Beaver and Steve.
Dolphin: "I say, do you fellers need any help?"
Steve: "A Dolphin! And I think it's trying to tell us something!"
Panel 4
Dolphin: "Yes! I can lead you to a tropical island paradise inhabited only by beautiful maidens. It's not far!"
Steve starts to get visibly angry.
Steve: "Stupid clown of the sea! It's laughing at us!"
Panel 5
Steve lunges at the surprised dolphin.
Steve: "YAAAA!"
Panel 6
The dolphin jumps out of the water, all except his tail. He PFFFSHT!'s gas into Steve's face.
Steve: "AKH! GAS!"

Dolphin: "Time for this bird to fly!"

Panel 9

Steve: "I spy, with my little eye, something beginning with 'W' "
Fun Facts
- Steve is quite likely referring to "Water" in the last frame.
- A new breed of dolphins apparently has jetpacks and can spray blinding gas at its enemies.
- This isn't the last time Beaver and Steve are trapped in the middle of the sea in a life raft.
References
- The title refers to a common fact which states that although dolphins live in the water, they are mammals, not fish. And then this comic turns it all upside down, making a dolphin refer to himself as 'bird'. Hooray!
