Panel 1

The Snowman FLUMPFs against two windows as Beaver and Steve SLAM the house door shut from the inside.
Beaver: "Phew! We made it!"
Steve: "But what do we do now?"
Beaver: "Don't worry Steve, we can just stay in here living off cold sprouts and Christmas cake until the snow melts in spring!"
Beaver: "Won't that be fun!"
Steve: "Is it too late to take my chances with the snowman?"
Beaver: "Don't worry Steve, we'll be quite safe in here"

Panel 2

Beaver: "After all, he's just a silly old Snowman, what harm can he do?"
Meanwhilst the Snowman SPROUTS and GROWS various snowy appendages and proceeds to WRITHE with them.

Panel 3

The wormlike Snowman CRASH!es through a window.
Snowman: "Oh what a lovely place you have here!
Beaver: "Yipe!"
Steve: "Don't worry Beaver, I have a plan! Fall back to the Christmas tree!"

Panel 4

Beaver and Steve have now fallen back to the Christmas tree.
Beaver: "OK Steve, what's the plan?"
Steve: "Actually 'Fall back to the Christmas tree' was pretty much my whole plan."
Beaver: "Oh."
Snowman: "Glaaa"
Beaver: "So this is how we meet our end: consumed by a giant mutant snowman with an eating disorder. I guess that fortune cookie was right."

Panel 5

The Snowman GLOM!s up all of Beaver, Steve and the Christmas tree.
Unseen Speaker: "Well this has to be our 3rd or 4th worst Christmas ever ..."

Fun Facts

  • It's interesting to notice that, even having read the fortune cookie that stated they were gonna perish in the hands of a wicked snowman, Beaver still wished his to come to life. Which once again proves the unmeasurable power of fate... or just Beaver's stupidity anyway.

References

  • Even though most people will never know what it feels like to be swallowed by a giant mutant horrible creature, this is not the first time it happens to Beaver and Steve. In Comic 55, they were eaten by a gigantic Rupert T. Roach and had to go to great lengths to break free - in that particular case, using a microwave.
