Transcript
Panel 1
Beaver stands in the street, pondering.
Beaver: "No... the excess baggage charges for carrying a giant shoebox to Canada would be prohibitively high. My hunch is he's still in town somewhere. But where?"
A Sign Trans Co. truck is waiting in the street honking it's horn TOOT TOOT, its sign reads:
RIGHT
A guy who looks like Moustache Guy from the back (but his moustache or lack of one is uncertain) is standing behind Beaver, pointing at the large shoe box.
Guy: "Oh my! A giant shoebox being fitted with rockets by some sort of tiny elf-like creature...!"
Guy: "I'd better point at it for no reason!"
Panel 2
Beaver notices the giant shoebox.
Beaver: "Oh wait. There it is. It's always in the last place you look isn't it?"
Shoe Goblin: "Ha ha ha!"
Beaver: "We'd better put a stop to this Steve"
Beaver: "Steve?"
Panel 3
Steve is TUGging the hair of a woman walking with her baby, who is wearing a shirt with a picture of Satan on it.
Steve: "You can't fool me with your feeble disguise, Shoe Goblin!"
Panel 4
Beaver: "Steve, I think the Shoe Goblin is probably the one over there fitting rockets to a giant shoebox."
Steve: "Oh."
Panel 5
Beaver: "OK, we haven't got much time, but I've managed to come up with a very basic plan. First I will go in the front disguised as a Bavarian organ grinder. I will claim to be on an international polka tour, but when I reach the third chorus of 'Swedish nightingale' that will be your signal to strike."
Beaver: "Do you follow so far Steve?"
Panel 6
Steve continues to tug the woman's hair.
Steve: "I was, uh, just checking..."
[To be contd.]
