Panel 1

Steve holds up a sock, looking worried.
Steve: "Beaver! The washing machine has eaten my left sock again!"
Beaver: "Curious! That's the 5th one this week... we must investigate!"
Steve: "But where will we begin?"
Beaver: "Where all investigations begin Steve: With a cunning disguise!"

Panel 2

Beaver and Steve wear giant sock costumes.
"And so..."
Beaver: It's a good thing we still had these left sock costumes from last Hallowe'en"
Steve: "What a night that was..."
Beaver: "I still have bruises. Anyway, now it's time to begin our journey..."

Beaver: "...into the washing machine!"

"3 hours later..."
Beaver: "Well this isn't quite as exciting as i'd hoped..."
Steve: "Can we turn the spin cycle on again?"

Fun Facts

• Being a (left) sock on Halloween could be dangerous
• Steve likes being tumbled in a washing machine
• Beaver and Steve have a washing machine when neither of them wear any clothes.
• Beaver's tail has regrown, much like Steve's was supposed to and didn't. How ironic indeed.
