Transcript

Panel 1

James Turner appears wearing a luxurious purple dressing gown and a red fez.
James: "Well boys, here we are at the start of another new year. Do you have any resolutions for 2006?"

Panel 2

James crouches down and frowns at Steve.
James: "Steve?"
Steve: "I resolve to stop dabbling in the occult."
James: "Fascinating!"
Demon: "About time, too!"

Panel 3

James: "And how about you, Beaver?"
James POINT!'s at Beaver with his bubble-pipe.
Beaver: "I resolve to have a more positive outlook on life!"
Beaver grins and swings his arm happily.
Beaver: "Oh boy!"
James: "Splendid!"

Panel 4

James places one hand on each of our heroes.
Beaver is still grinning, but Steve is absorbed in a book entitled "Voodoo for Dummies".
James: "Those are some great resolutions! Now I have one of my own to make..."

Panel 5

James raises his left hand and places the other over his heart.
James: "I resolve to always get the comic finished on time."
James' arm and hand are missing most of their colouring.

Panel 6

(This panel appears entirely pencil-sketched and not inked or coloured at all.) Beaver raises a finger questioningly at James, and appears to ask a question.
In response, James throws his hands up in anger.
Beaver: (empty speech)
James Turner: (empty speech in "angry" style)

Fun Facts

• This is the second time James Turner himself has appeared in the comic. The first time was in Comic 100.
• The comic's title, "700 x 515 pixels", is in fact the image resolution of this particular comic strip. Very rather pun-ny.
