The calm before the storm
The beavers appear in Comic 26, living at the zoo where Beaver and Steve like to visit. When Steve makes fun of them, Beaver pushes him into their enclosure, and they proceed to beat the living daylights out of Steve.
Beaver seems to have had a relationship with one of their daughters, but her father wants him to keep away. So sad, love lost!
